Welcome to MyBarackObamaPaperDoll.com! We want our doll owners to feel part of this project and encourage all of you to make suggestions on how we can create a community. A community that is as engaged in the excitement of the administration of President Obama as they were engaged in the election of Senator Obama.

Why did you decide to draw cartoon images of our president-elect and his colleagues?
I (BBLuhring) have been drawing cartoons since I was a child and I have always enjoyed looking at other people’s cartoon caricatures. With the growing popularity of graphic novels and all the styles that fall under that broad category, I think the time is right to depict our political leaders as characters in their own kind of comedy-drama and President-elect Barack Obama is just the cartoon hero to rally around. My caricatures won’t be cruel or depict an editorial view about the individual. My goal is to create a kind of 3D graphic novel of the Obama Administration and all the characters that will exist within his universe. I enthusiastically look forward to this journey and invite you all to join and travel this historic path together.
I don’t have a color printer. What if I want you to send me the clothes?
We will be happy to send you the outfits either individually or as a set. That way doll owners can wait to receive the free outfits to print themselves or they can experience instant gratification by receiving a set of six at one time.
We will sell 4 color versions of the outfits for $9.95 - includes shipping. Contact support@mybarackobamapaperdoll.com for more information. Tell us what 4 outfits you would like.
When will I receive my first free monthly outfit?
You will receive your first outfit the month following your purchase.
What if I am giving the MyBarackObamaPaperDoll as a gift?
Make sure you give us the email address of the recipient so they can begin to receive the free outfits.
Can I make suggestions for clothing and colleagues?
Absolutely. We consider ourselves the “deciders” but we welcome input from all doll owners.
How will I get my free monthly outfits?
We will send you your free outfits as PDF files to the email you provide when you purchase your dolls. You may then output the file on your own color printer. The outfits will be copies of watercolor paintings and will also include an uncolored version that you can color yourself.
How can I submit photos of MyBarackObamaPaperDoll to your website and where will the photos be posted?
As the month proceeds, we are going to add a photos page to our website. We ask all doll owners to submit their photos and show us how their MyBarackObamaPaperDoll fits into their life. You may submit your photos to support@mybarackobamapaperdoll.com. Please keep file size to 1MB or less.
Why did you choose the Southern Poverty Law Center as the recipient of a 25¢ donation for every doll you sell?
The Southern Poverty Law Center has been achieving great in-roads in combating hate groups in America via the American legal system since 1971. If you are not familiar with them you will be impressed by their dogged persistence as they wage their fight for the civil rights of all people in the United States. This fight for civil rights still goes on today, but the election of Barack Obama as the 44th president of the United States has made it feel like real progress has been made.
As the cost of production declines, our donation to the Southern Poverty Law Center will increase.
